NEC Corporation – Partner of the Year
Avnet Japan has achieved a significant milestone by being recognized as NEC Corporation's Partner of the Year for 2023. This prestigious award, presented at NEC's annual Partners Day on June 4, 2024, at The Prince Park Tower Tokyo, acknowledges Avnet K.K.'s exceptional contributions to NEC's production efforts.
NEC's Partner of the Year award celebrates outstanding suppliers and partners who have made significant impacts on NEC's business. Previous recipients of this honor include other industry leaders such as TI Japan, ADI Japan, and Intel Japan.
Avnet Japan was selected for this award due to its exceptional performance in several key areas. We demonstrated commitment to excellence by proactively avoiding potential delivery issues through flexible advance arrangements. Furthermore, Avnet's implementation of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) operations ensured just-in-time deliveries, meeting NEC's rigorous production requirements.
In addition, Avnet Japan actively collaborated with NEC on production adjustments, helping to mitigate overstocking issues. The company successfully negotiated with suppliers to ensure a smooth supply chain and meet NEC's evolving needs.

Diodes - Best QA Adviser of the Year and Best Patient Sales of the Year
Avnet Japan achieved a significant double victory, receiving two prestigious awards from Diodes Incorporated: "Best QA Adviser of the Year" and "Best Patient Sales of the Year" for 2023. These awards recognize Avnet Japan's exceptional performance in supporting Diodes Incorporated's business growth and success.
"Best QA Adviser of the Year"
This award acknowledges Avnet Japan's significant contributions to Diodes Incorporated's success in quality assurance. Avnet Japan demonstrated excellence in supporting customer factory audits during new product adoption and effectively assisted with the creation of critical documents, such as delivery specifications and Failure Analysis Reports (FARs).
This award recognizes the outstanding individual contributions of Mr. Yutaka Miyashita, Senior Manager, Quality Assurance. A key factor in this achievement was his proactive support as he played a crucial role in resolving issues that initially led to the failure of a Panasonic audit at Diodes Incorporated's wafer fabrication plant (SFAB2). He actively collaborated with Panasonic engineers and Diodes Japan to address the concerns and ensure successful audit outcomes. Mr. Miyashita also provided invaluable support during customer factory audits at Diodes Incorporated's assembly plants in Chengdu (CAT) and Eris (Taiwan).
Mr. Miyashita stated, "I am honored to receive this award and will continue striving to make meaningful contributions."
"Best Patient Sales of the Year"
This award recognizes Avnet Japan's outstanding sales efforts in securing a significant win for Diodes Incorporated in the automotive market. Panasonic EW, known for its rigorous quality and documentation requirements, presented a challenging opportunity. Avnet Japan successfully navigated these challenges, securing this crucial win for Diodes Incorporated. This award recognizes the contributions of a dedicated team. Mr. Itto Aihara, Senior Representative, West Japan Branch, 1st Sales Dept., Sales BU, represented the team.
Mr. Aihara expressed his gratitude, stating, "I'm flattered and honored to receive this award, as it is my first one since joining Avnet."
The awards were presented by Takeshi Tanoue, President, Diodes Incorporated Japan to the team at the Avnet Japan office. These awards underscore Avnet Japan's commitment to delivering exceptional quality and providing valuable support to its valued suppliers.
