His journey with Avnet began in 1998 when Andy’s company was acquired by Avnet as they embarked on their expansion into the Asian market. As a veteran in the company, Andy has witnessed significant changes over the years, including shifts in leadership, management styles, and technological advancements. However, the core of Avnet's business remains steadfast: building strong relationships with customers through integrity, trust, and exceptional service. He has also observed a positive evolution in the company culture, with a growing emphasis on diversity, innovation, and collaboration.

A Legacy of Innovation
One of Andy's most significant early accomplishments was the establishment of a wireless lab in Singapore. This initiative was crucial for securing Avnet's Business HQ status and the wireless lab played a pivotal role in numerous design wins, including a major project with end customer Ericsson.
Andy and his team successfully designed and developed Bluetooth devices, collaborating with industry leaders like Philips Semiconductor (now NXP). This groundbreaking work solidified Avnet's position as a key player in the wireless technology market.

Today, Avnet's wireless design labs continue to thrive, focusing on cutting-edge technologies like Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and working with leading suppliers such as Nordic, STMicroelectronics, Renesas and others.
Throughout his career, Andy has been involved in numerous challenging and rewarding projects. A few projects involved guiding customers through complex technical issues, such as debugging intricate coding problems or explaining complex concepts like Bluetooth technology, wireless charging, automotive design, battery management service, metering and FPGA design. By providing timely and effective solutions, Andy and his team have consistently exceeded customer expectations.

To excel at Avnet, Andy emphasizes the importance of adaptability, responsiveness, collaboration, effective communication, and a pursuit of knowledge. He believes that by fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation, teams can overcome challenges and achieve remarkable results.
