Avnet Taiwan Supports the Future of Baseball
Avnet Taiwan recently demonstrated its dedication to community development by donating sports equipment to Chongyi High School. This initiative aligns with Avnet's global ESG goals of giving back to the community and supporting youth development.
By providing essential sports equipment, Avnet aims to empower young athletes to reach their full potential. The donation will help the Chongyi High School baseball team improve their training and performance, inspiring the next generation of baseball stars.
On Nov 5, Prince Yun, President of Avnet Asia Pacific and Japan, and Mike Cheng, President of Avnet Taiwan, were honored guests at an official ceremony held at Chongyi High School. The ceremony, attended by school staff and the baseball team, marked the official presentation of donated items from Avnet Taiwan to the school principal and head coach.

A Harvest of Kindness
Last month, the Avnet Care Team embarked on a heartwarming initiative to support local communities and promote sustainable practices. A group of dedicated Avnet employees, led by Sales Director, Kenneth Hsu, volunteered their time to assist elderly farmers in Guanxi, Hsinchu with the tangerine harvest.

This compassionate act was more than just a community service project. It was an opportunity for our team to connect with nature, support local farmers, and experience the satisfaction of giving back. By assisting with the harvest, we helped alleviate the labor shortage in rural areas and ensured that these fresh, locally-sourced fruits could reach more people. Through the hard work of our volunteers, we harvested over 800 kg of tangerines. We purchased the entire harvest, sharing it with our colleagues and donating to nearby Trung Yi High School.
Avnet Care Team in Taiwan is committed to making a positive impact on society and the environment. We are attentive to the needs of various social welfare organizations and strive to support them through volunteer activities. To ensure a wide reach, we select different beneficiaries for each volunteer event. By diversifying our efforts, we aim to address the diverse needs of numerous organizations and contribute to a better future.
