On March 8, 2024, Avnet India employees gathered together to enjoy lunch and food for thought. It was all part of the International Women’s Day Celebration @ Avnet India, organized around the theme of “Inspire to Include.”

United in Spirit (and via Microsoft Teams)
At a prearranged time, a total of 104 employees from Avnet India offices in Bangalore, Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Chennai were connected via Microsoft Teams. In keeping with the inclusive spirit of the occasion, the audience comprised both women and men. The majority of the ladies dressed in pink to mark the occasion – creating wonderful photo opportunities in the process!

After being treated to a delectable lunch at their respective offices, the virtual gathering tuned in to an inspiring talk by Coaching Psychologist Dr. Aneeta Madhok on the topic of “Integrative Living – Embrace the Circle of Wellness.” The session offered up many thought-provoking insights on the integrated topics of self-awareness, self-love and self-care. The takeout message: healthy minds contribute not only to the health of the planet but towards the health of economies – which, in turn, give rise to valuable opportunities to inspire and include.

We not only got to enjoy a delicious lunch together, but learned about actionable steps that we can take to balance our work lives and our personal lives. A Most Satisfying Celebration
Organized by the Human Resources and Facility departments of Avnet India, the event was a wonderful opportunity for employees to bond with fellow colleagues and meet their counterparts in other offices. While the delightful meal and engaging talk were a welcome break from the weekday routine, the well-organized celebration also served to elevate employee satisfaction. It’s fair to say that everyone felt included, inspired and above all, valued by the company.
