On October 30, 2023, employees of Avnet Singapore were encouraged to relax at work – in the hands of the highly skilled masseurs of the Mobile Massage Team, from the Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped (SAVH).

Office Turned Spa
The visually impaired masseurs worked their magic on 70 employees in the Avnet Singapore offices between the hours of 10am and 4pm. Tight muscles were kneaded into a state of blissful relaxation as the certified masseurs put their training into practice and honed their skills. The funds raised helped contribute to the masseurs’ financial independence and self-reliance.

Towards an Inclusive Society
“We were very happy to engage the Mobile Massage team for another year,” said Lynn Peh, senior manager, HR service center. “While the aim was to help foster a more caring and inclusive society, I am confident that I echo the sentiments of all who had the chance to enjoy a massage when I say that the pleasure was undoubtedly ours!

The visit from the Mobile Massage Team was organized by the Singapore HR Service Center and Avnet Care committee as part of Avnet Singapore’s ongoing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) efforts.
