HR Awards in Taiwan and Singapore |

In second half of 2023, Avnet Taiwan and Avnet Singapore took top honors in prestigious awards programs around the region. All of the accolades paid tribute to our human resources colleagues and their efforts in fostering a workplace culture where people always come first, and profits invariably follow.
Avnet Taiwan Bags Two Awards for Employee Engagement
Avnet Taiwan was recently awarded one of the “Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2023,” after having been honored with the same accolade in 2018, 2020, 2021 and 2022. In addition, it received the distinction of being named “Most Caring Company.”

Double distinction for Avnet Taiwan

Both awards were based on the results of comprehensive and confidential employee surveys. Avnet Taiwan’s high scores in all categories confirm the company’s commitment to fostering a caring and collaborative workplace.
In 2023, total of 366 organizations in Taiwan applied for the “Best Companies to Work for in Asia,” and only 94 organizations were certified. Of these companies, only 14 received the “Most Caring Company” award.
Prince Yun, our President, Asia Pacific and Japan, accepted the “Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2023” award on behalf of Avnet Taiwan at a formal awards ceremony on July 20, attended by more than 1,000 guests.
“Employee happiness is integral to Avnet’s success, and indeed the success of every company. When you put people first, profits will follow,” said Prince. “I would like to thank the organizers, and every one of the employees at Avnet Taiwan who gave our company a glowing ‘performance review’.”

James Tan, Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Asia Pacific and Japan, accepted the “Most Caring Company” award at the same ceremony. He echoed Princes’ sentiments when he said, “When employees feel cared for, they care more about every aspect of their work. Employee engagement is one of the best investments a company can make. It’s how we keep morale high, and keep the best people working for us.”

Singapore Shines!
Avnet Singapore was also distinguished with a Silver in the Human Resources Excellence Awards (HREA) 2023, in the category of Total Rewards Strategy.

The HR team struck Silver for its efforts in designing and implementing a set of fair and comprehensive measurement guidelines for bonus and recognition programs. Avnet’s “Work Hard, Play Hard” culture has led to a low employee attrition rate, and a motivated and engaged workforce.
Another factor in Singapore’s success is its practice of amplifying the voices of its employees by fostering open and honest feedback. Encouraging employees to contribute their ideas and opinions has not only made employees feel valued, but has added value to the company with a slew of employee-generated improvements.
