It was smiles all round on Yageo Tech Day, held for the first time on November 29, 2022, when Avnet Asia was declared “The Best Asia Distribution Partner” by the world-leading manufacturer of passive components. At the same event, Avnet returned the compliment by presenting Yageo with “The Best Partner” award.

Vishay Declares Our Partnership “Golden”
Just one day later, on November 30, 2022, Vishay Intertechnology, a global manufacturer of semiconductors, hosted a gala dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel in Singapore for its annual Golden Partner event. In recognition of Avnet’s integral role in the company’s significant increase in sales during a challenging year, Vishay presented top-level management with a golden rabbit figurine.
The latest Golden Partner award adds to a lineup that has grown over several years, during which Vishay presented Avnet with a series of golden figurines in the image of the next year’s Chinese zodiac sign. All signs point to a great partnership, filled with golden opportunities for mutual support and shared success.

ST Microelectronics Salutes Our Teamwork and Individual Efforts
At its recent annual Distribution Sales Convention Asia-Pacific, held across two venues in Bangkok, Thailand, and Zhuhai, China, ST Microelectronics bestowed four awards on Avnet teams and individuals.
In Bangkok, the Avnet Taiwan team took home “Best Partnership” award for its continuous investment in new market segments and applications. In particular. the team’s contributions to the design and distribution of wireless charging and “Battery Management System” were integral to the win. On an individual level, Alfred Yang scored gold in the “MSIP Top Demand Creation DFAE” category, for his active support and involvement in developing customers and key project’s design-in.

Over in Zhuhai, Avnet China was awarded “Recognition in Customer Development – BYD” for its valuable contributions to growing the important BYD business a staggering 80 percent year-on-year in 2022, and a predicted 60 percent year-on-year in 2023, in anticipation of accelerating demand for electric vehicles.

Avnet China also took home STM's specially-themed “Pink Jersey (Tour de France / Tour of Italy)” award for its outstanding year over year business growth to be one of the fastest distributors to achieve “Double Growth in 3 years”.

A Win for One is a Win for All
Reflecting on these recent awards, Prince said, “Though awards ceremonies are single moments in time, they represent months of work and the ongoing efforts of hundreds of people. No doubt almost everyone in our organization has contributed in some way, large or small, directly or indirectly, to our latest wins. When I say I proudly accept these awards on behalf of Avnet, I truly mean it. Congratulations to each and every one of my colleagues.”
