Our Inaugural E-Mobility Forum Drew a Crowd

Avnet recently hosted a highly successful event in Taipei on January 11, 2023 at HNBK International Convention Center, attended by more than 550 guests from industry and the media.

A Highly Attentive Audience

The healthy turnout comprised businesses, suppliers, partners, customers, and engineers among other interested parties who responded to positive interest on our owned platforms as well in selected media. Journalists from key industry media, namely Digitimes, EE Times, CTimes, CompoTech and Micro-Electronics, were also in attendance.

The venue was filled almost to capacity by a highly attentive and responsive audience

Focusing on the hot topic of e-mobility, the full-day event was kicked off by Avnet executives Prince Yun, President, Asia Pacific and Japan, Mike Cheng, Regional President, Taiwan, and Robert Chang, Associate Director of Field Application. Interesting talks were also given by several of our key suppliers, including Infineon Technologies, Nexperia, STMicroelectronics, and Vishay Intertechnology, and a series of booths showcased our suppliers’ latest E-mobility solutions.

All Eyes on Avnet

When it came to audience interaction, it was gratifying to note that the interest expressed were not limited to e-mobility, but spanned the gamut of the overall EV market and semiconductor industry.

Good Vibes and Good News

Feedback from guests was resoundingly positive, with a very encouraging 62% of those surveyed expressing a desire to be contacted by the Avnet sales team for further product information, and an overwhelming 85% expressing keenness to attend future Avnet events.

The resulting media coverage was extensive, and a credit to the organizers. At least seven substantial articles and online posts followed, which referenced not only the pre-event media release but also insights garnered from live interactions with our spokespersons, Robert and Edward Tsaur, VP Marketing and Communication, Asia.

“It was gratifying to see so much keen interest not only in our e-mobility solutions, but in our overall plans and direction for the future. I think in times of uncertainty, the market is looking for leaders, and I believe that we can fill that role for our partners, our suppliers and our customers,” said Mike, reflecting on the success of the event.

“The EV market presents limitless possibilities, and I am certain Avnet is well-positioned to drive the trends and changes in Taiwan,” he added.

Congratulations to the organizers, speakers, and our participating suppliers for executing a highly successful event. We look forward to many more.
