Avnet's Bowling Night:
A Strike-ing Good Time! |

Avnet in Singapore recently celebrated Singapore's National Day with the exciting Avnet Bowling Night on August 6 at Orchid Bowl. The biennial event brought together employees from all three Avnet locations in Singapore for an evening of fun, camaraderie, and friendly competition.
As the sun set over Orchid Country Club, the bowling alley buzzed with excitement. Over 100 employees and supporters, including several of our Apex leaders gathered for a buffet dinner before lacing up their bowling shoes and hitting the lanes. The evening's festivities kicked off with an opening speech by James Tan, Senior Vice President of Human Resources for APAC
, and this was followed by the much-anticipated bowling tournament.
The atmosphere was electric throughout the evening as teams cheered their team mates on, and got especially excitable during the House Challenge Event, where each lane nominated a player to compete in a thrilling "5 or 9 Pins Challenge."
AvnetPura emerged as the Group Champion with a score of 1386. The Spare Ribs and 59 Strikes & Spares claimed the second and third spots, respectively. Individual categories were also awarded, with Foo Say Peng, Andy Ng, and Lau Sau Nong taking the top three spots for male bowlers, and Christine Lee, Judy Chia, and Liow Fang Fang leading the female pack.

Avnet's bowling night was more than just a fun event; it was a fantastic opportunity for employees to connect, relax, and celebrate Singapore's National Day. The camaraderie and sportsmanship displayed by all participants made it a memorable evening for everyone involved.
