We Are Honored, Again and Again |

The middle of the year is a good time to pause and reflect on our recent accomplishments. We take pride and pleasure in sharing the awards conferred upon us by our valued distributors in 2024.
Our first accolade of the year came in January from AVX, when Avnet China was named Distributor of the Year FY23. In February, Avnet China was again honored, this time by MPS China, with the 2023 Outstanding Progress PM Award for achieving 13% YoY growth in East Asia. Our colleagues in China were credited with helping MPS win key projects such as Aptic, Kevoda and DIAS, and commended for their efforts in training new FAEs. Allan Zhang received the award on behalf of the team.

Avnet China continued its winning streak in March, when Bourns Asia presented the team with an Outstanding Demand Creation Award for its efforts in local demand creation. Avnet China had outperformed all other distributors to achieve a YoY growth rate of around 12%.

In April, Micron Asia bestowed the Top Broad Market Coverage Award on Avnet Asia, for managing the largest customer count for broad market among all of its Asia distribution partners. It singled out Avnet Taiwan in particular, for its efforts in SI testing services

Also in April, NXP Suzhou presented Avnet Greater China with two prestigious awards at its Ind & IoT Distribution Conference Greater China 2024 event. The team took home a trophy for the 2023 Vertical Development Star Team, and another for 2023 Outstanding Performance Distributor.

In May, Avnet Asia received the ultimate accolade from its valued partner Vishay at an award ceremony held in its Hong Kong office. In recognition of our top performance in the important passive products category, we were named Distributor of the Year 2023. To secure the top honor, we scored highly across all criteria including POS and POA growth, inventory management and number of design registrations.
The award was received on behalf of the Avnet Asia team by Eric Lo, vice president of sales for the Hong Kong region of China, and Carlson Kwok, director of sales distribution. “This award is the culmination of a long and fruitful working relationship between Avnet and Vishay,” said Eric. “It acknowledges a true partnership – a collaboration between two organisations working towards common goals, supporting each other, inspiring each other, and as we have seen today, valuing each other.”

May was a bumper month for Avnet. In addition to Avnet Asia being named Distributor of the Year 2023 (Passives) by Vishay, Avnet South Asia was named APS Regional Distributor of the Year 2023 by Molex.

Also in May, Avnet Asean received the Top Distributor of Performance Award FY2023B together with a Special Project Achievement Award FY2023B from Toshiba Singapore. Shortly thereafter, Lucius Lin of Avnet Taiwan was singled out for his outstanding performance with a 2023 Outstanding Sales Development awards 2023 from Bourns.

Looking Back and Looking Forward
