Hybrid Meeting, Enabled by Technology

Harnessing the very technology that we enable and advance, the media briefing was physically attended by 18 representatives of key media, and virtually attended by another eight online. In addition, five television interviews were conducted at the Avnet booth with interviewers from leading channels including Dragon TV and China Business News.

Commitment to Cooperation and Collaboration

Avnet and Neta Auto, a prominent payer in the new energy vehicle sector. Signed by Avent China’s President, Grace Dong, and Neta Auto’s Peng Qingfeng, Vice President and President of the Components Business, the agreement pledged a shared commitment to leveraging both organizations’ core strengths to drive innovation in China's new energy vehicle industry.

At the briefing, Grace said, “China's new energy vehicles are leading the world, and Neta Auto, as one of the outstanding players, plays a pivotal role in driving research, manufacturing, and other aspects of the industry, both in China and globally.” She further elaborated on the role that Avent will play by saying, “We will leverage our comprehensive and advanced supply chain capabilities, supported by our robust automotive ecosystem, and strong partnerships with original equipment manufacturers and numerous Tier 1 suppliers. Our dedication lies in providing exceptional services to local new energy brands, including Neta Auto, and playing a pivotal role in driving the new era of China's new energy vehicle development."

Stellar Credentials and Key Advantages

At the media briefing, Grace and Edward Tsaur, our Vice President of Marketing and Communications in Asia, seized the opportunity to recap our century-long presence in China. Extensive Earned Media

The media briefing and media activities surrounding Electronica China were a resounding success, resulting in more than 110 pieces of coverage. The enthusiastic attendees seized the opportunity to meet Avnet’s senior executives and deepen their understanding of Avnet’s activities in China.

Questions raised at the briefing were not limited to Avnet's business developments, but extended to the entire supply chain, SiC technology, our ESG efforts, our collaboration with local customers, and how we are helping customers penetrate overseas markets by tapping on our global resources and connections.

Driving a Sustainable Future

The media briefing in Shanghai was part of Avnet’s broader presence at Electronica China, which included a well-attended summit hosted by Avnet on the future of China’s dynamic semiconductor chip industry and the abundant market opportunities abroad.

We look forward to many more successful events that raise awareness for our part in the global shift away from carbon dependency. Likewise, we look forward to many more partnerships with like-minded organizations like Neta Auto, who are steering our industry, and the end users of our products, towards a sustainable future.
