We recently received not one but four awards, out of a total of six, in the annual awards program of Molex Asia Pacific South (APS). Molex is a leading manufacturer of manufacturer of electronic, electrical, and fiber optic connectivity systems, and one of our most valued suppliers.

Avnet Asia is Molex’s Distributor of the Year
Overall, Avnet Asia shone brightest among all of Molex’s distributors throughout South Asia. By aligning our strategies with those of our valued supplier and partner, we achieved an outstanding 35% increase in revenue for Molex over the past three years.
Prince Yun, our Regional President, said, “On behalf of Avnet Asia, I accept this award with pride, humility and gratitude. I am proud of how far we’ve come together. I am humbled by the hard work and dedication of all of my colleagues, each of whom has played a role in achieving our great results over the past three years. And I am deeply grateful to our esteemed supplier and partner Molex.” He added, “Suppliers are the foundation of our business. Without them, we simply cannot exist, and we are only as good as our best suppliers. Thank you, Molex. You are simply the best!”
Avnet India Crowned Fastest Growth Distributor of the Year
Our Indian office was crowned by Molex as Fastest Growth Distributor of the Year 2022. After two consecutive years of growth, Molex saw a staggering 80% increase in revenue from its business with Avnet.
On receiving the award for his team, Debasis Panda, Associate Marketing Director of Avnet India, had this to say, “On behalf of my colleagues, I sincerely thank Molex not only for honoring us with this award, but for their unwavering support and commitment to our successful partnership. A win for one is a win for all.”
Grace Huang Named Distributor MVP of the Year
Grace Huang, Manager, Supplier Management, had the honor of being named Distributor MVP of the Year 2022 by Molex. The award was particularly remarkable as she has only been working in her current role for just over four years. Her relentless pursuit of excellence, exemplary relationship building, and outstanding leadership skills were singled out as some of the reasons behind her selection.
On receiving the honor, Grace said, “As a distributor, we are only as good as our suppliers and their products. Thank you, Molex, for allowing me – and all of Avnet – to shine. I am deeply grateful for this honor. I dedicate this award to my hardworking teammates who constantly make me look good.”
Avnet Asia Declared Regional Distributor of the Year
Avnet Asia virtually scooped the Molex awards pool by also taking the title of Regional Distributor of the Year 2022 (South Asia). Our ability to anticipate market trends and adapt swiftly to change were singled out for special praise.
Tan Aik Hoon, our Regional President for Avnet’s regional president for South Asia and Korea, said, “I am immensely proud not just of my teammates, but of everything that Avnet and Molex have achieved in the region. South Asia is a dynamic market, and these recent years have been disruptive ones to say the least.
