Sharing, Learning and Cheering at Taiwan’s English Presentation Contest |

In December last year, 1,040 contestants, spectators and cheerleaders took part in Taiwan’s first-ever English Presentation Contest.
Honored Guests and Spirited Cheerleaders
The well-organized event was a platform for sharing English presentation skills in a friendly peer learning environment, in line with the theme “to own the stage and create a positive experience.” It was attended by Avnet’s senior management, Prince Yun, Mike Chang and JJ Jang, and attracted 35 voluntary contestants whose presentations were evaluated by two external judges.
Good English and Good Vibes
Going by the positive feedback and outstanding attendance, contestant Maggie Kung, contracts executive, Avnet Taiwan, spoke for all when she said, “This contest is a bitter and sweet symphony. So glad that I made it!”
Commenting on the contest, Prince said, “I was heartened to see so many colleagues stepping up and sharing their impressive presentation skills. I was also impressed by the enthusiasm and energy of the cheerleaders. All in all, it was an excellent show of good English and great sportsmanship.”
Congratulations, Avnet Taiwan, for stepping up, speaking up and living up to the theme of the event. It was certainly a positive experience. And well-done to the HR Training Team for pulling off a great and meaningful event!
