Our Legal Team Makes the Finals of ALB SEA Law Awards |

In October 2021, our in-house APAC legal team was named a finalist in the prestigious ALB SEA Law Awards, presented by Asia Legal Business, a part of Thomson Reuters.
Top In-house Legal Team in Tech Sector
The award officially recognized our colleagues as one of the top in-house legal teams in South East Asia in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications industry.
The team’s successful submission showcased five key projects that supported the company’s business operations at various levels. In particular, they covered the development of template NDAs to expedite the commencement of business with new customers; the implementation of electronic documentation to further the company’s commitment to sustainability; the team’s extensive involvement in compliance and ethics initiatives; the attainment of Secure Trade Partnership-Plus Certification; and the establishment of a representative office in the high-growth market of Vietnam.
Overall, the team’s promptness and efficiency, especially in terms of generating contracts and providing legal advice, supported record revenue growth for Avnet Asia in the second half of 2020.
Gina Teo, our vice president and general counsel for Asia Pacific, said, “This is testament to the legal team being a collaborative and innovative business partner with the business and functional groups in Avnet Asia. That being said, we will not rest on our laurels and will continue to provide best-in-class support to the company.”
