A baseline for wireless charging





Wireless charging is gaining in popularity, with consumers taking to its convenience and ease of use. Devices can now be easily charged and ready to go without the need for power cords. A universal technology standard, Qi, has in fact been established by the Wireless Power Consortium. Widespread industry adoption means QI is now available in many locations where charging is most needed, like airports, automobiles, hotels and offices.

The Baselines Power Profile or BPP comprises the minimum set of features applying to power transmitters and power receivers that can transfer around 5W of power. These are compliant with Wireless Power Consortium standards for charging handphones, medical devices and wearable applications. To support this demand, Avnet offers a wide range of low charging solutions. Our customized solutions come with a customer support model that involves definition & requirement, development, certification and production.





IDT – Wearable Solutions
