The migration to LED lighting in public places has brought about better illumination and made city roads, by-lanes and highways safer for public citizens. Now, assisted by the innovative power of Avnet, city development and maintenance authorities have the power to enhance safety and security by having control over the performance of LED street lights.

Avnet’s Intelligent Streetlight Controller, which connects to a cluster of street lights, enables city authorities to exercise remote ON/OFF switching, and more crucially, monitor and control functionality such as power consumption and malfunction reporting through remote connectivity. But the advantages of intelligent lighting control extend far beyond to other industrial sectors. For instance, by changing the ratings of the electrical control gear, the versatile system can also be used for high-power applications like controlling water pumps in agriculture and farming.
